Let me begin by saying that I work with a lot of women who recently got married or who are currently engaged and I heard all about all of their various nightmares, including one whose dress showed up with a large stain on it, one whose dress showed up and was of poorer quality than the dress she had tried on, and one whose dress never showed up at all (all from shops in CA). Add to that the fact that I am a plus sized bride. Add to that the fact that I live in CA and am getting married in Seattle. And add to THAT the fact that I was apparently late to the whole trying-on-dresses-and-ordering-them party (What? Ordering a dress in February for a wedding in May is on the late side? Who knew!) and you have one anxious bride-to-be.

That all said, the ladies at Bellevue Bridal were terrific. I came back three different times (in the same week!) and must've tried on 15+ dresses. During that time, I also visited David's Bridal (not impressed with the quality of dresses AT ALL), Brides by Demetrios (wide variety, similar quality gowns, customer service, not so much) and the Bridal Garden (small variety, more expensive/ couture gowns), but kept coming back to Bellevue Bridal.

The staff was patient and helpful, especially Kathy, who looked up availability and shipping info and got back to me in a reasonable amount of time. When I ordered the dress, I was given the date it was to ship and the date it was to arrive and marked both down in my calendar-- imagine my delight (not to mention relief) when I went to call Bellevue Bridal on the shipping day to make sure it did indeed ship and there was a message on my voice mail from Kathy telling me my dress was already at the shop.

Finally, when I went to try it on, the dress had arrived in perfect condition (no stains!) and at the same level of quality as the sample I had tried on.

I found this place when I was looking for bridesmaids dresses, I wish I had found it when I was wedding dress shopping. It's not a large shop, but the dress selection is good and the prices are reasonable.

The service was great despite my confusing list of bridesmaids. They let my bridesmaids and I play around when we were dress shopping for them, and they were always nice and let us know about our dress arrivals as soon as they came in. When I picked up some of the gowns, despite being super busy because of a sale they had, they were still extremely nice and helpful.

After visiting several large bridal shops in Seattle, I was blown away by the amazing service and caring attitude of all the staff at Bellevue Bridal. They are all professional and very experienced at putting together all the elements of a beautiful wedding look. The staff really care that you love how you look and never pressure you. The selection is vast and the prices are super reasonable, most gowns I tried on were under $1000. They have a beautiful new space in Old Bellevue, so call to get directions. Make this your first stop and you will not be disappointed. Have fun!
